Installed my first plug-in

COO of me, inc.
I just added my first plugin to the Reaper VST folder. Since I am new to DAWs, I had an anxious 20 minutes there.

The VST DL'd into the correct folder. Adding it to Reaper's took me about 20 minutes to figure out because after clicking the ADD button to select files to add, I kept opening the folder
and double clicking the files thinking that would add them - no go... just opened empty screens. I finally figured out I had to single click to highlight the FOLDER, then click the OK buttons.
THEN it all worked fine. Oh, sure..

Now it's late and I'm too tired to play with it. I'll be back.

Being new to DAWs means that nothing is simple.

You will find that it needn't have taken you 20 minutes, and in the future it will take you more like two minutes (i.e. the time it takes you to copy a DLL file from somewhere into a VST folder).

But at least you persevered!

It all becomes simple after experience. Not so easy at first.

Most do not remember learning to ride a bike, but it is sure obvious when you have a kid that is learning.

10 years ago I had my wife teach me how to setup a Myspace page. Now I teach others how to delete them permanently. lol
