What exactly is a power conditioner and what does it do? Also, what is a "wall wart"? thanks!

Okay, you probably read about a power conditioner that solves the wal wart problem, I'm guessing.

First off, you said in another post that you have compressors. You know what they do, right? Think about a power conditrioner as sort of a compressor, but for juice. The ideal power conditioner will keep the electricity at a constant flow. IF you get a surge or spike, it will keep your equipment from getting fried. If your washing machine in the next room kicks in and sucks power, the power conditioner strives to keep the same level of juice flowing to whatever is plugged into it.

Wall warts are those nasty little transformers at the end of an A/C adapter, you know, usually 2" x 2" with the plug prongs coming out of it? When you plug one of those into a power strip and you are not using the last outlet, the transformer and cord usually will block access to the outlet right next to it.

So if you read something about a power conditioner that solves wall wart problems, it means the outlets on the back of it are spaced enough that you can use wall warts and not block other outlets.
