Video DA for word clock distribution

Opinions are like SM-57s
Most of the venders jump all over this as a really bad idea... but how bad is it really... any experience out here? I'd like an objective, unbiased opinion... (from someone not trying to sell something else)

I picked up a fairly nice video distribution amp (too low to pass up), and current employ a combination of serial/parallel word clock distribution. I'd like to feed everything direct from the DA. Is the jitter really measurably worse...

The explaination offered at the Sweetwater site... (carriers get rounded off: just didn't sit well with me...) I wouldn't think the cut off on the bandpass would be that sharp... or that the amplifier would have any issues reporducing that narrow bandwidth.

Thanks,

Steve
