Hey gang, ...

I'm having a light pipe problem, . .. using the ADAT / TOSLINK with my Focusrite gear.

I have a Saffire Pro 40, .. and connected an Octopre MKII Dynamic to it
to have 16 ins.

The Saffire works WONDERFUL, .. but when I plug the Ocotopre in I get crackles and pops
only through the Octopre channels. They are also HIGHLY distorted!
I'm not able to get proper sound through to my DAW ( studio one ) Even though
I'm seeing good signal to the Focusrite software.

Any one here know how to help??????

I'm on A Mac Mini, .. latest Focusrite drivers, ..

Thaks,

Curtis

I can think of what it probably is right away.

Is the clock source set to "internal," or "Wordclock" on your Octopre?

A really stupid thing really, but I managed to same thing when I first used adat connectors:
Make sure that there isn't a cap on the adat cable.
