Preamp + Effects

Good morning all....this is my first post on here and I plan on visiting frequently.

I have been clumsily recording a project over the last few months. I am using Adobe Audition, a Presonus firewire interface and a really crappy mic. I have just upgraded to a nicer condenser mic and got an Art tube micpre (the theme of the whole thing is super budget/free/do with what I have). Anyway, I have been running vocals like this: dynamic mic -> reverb pedal -> Roalnd RE-150 Space Echo -> computer and am wondering what to change with the condenser and micpre. Do I run the pre at the end of the chain or before the effects?

Thanks for any help, and I look forward to digging through the forum and hopefuly being able to offer help at some point as well....

You will get much better results by running the mic> preamp> computer. Record dry and add the effects after. Adding extra devices in line only degrades the quality.
