So, how would you use/route the 2 digital IO's... anybody? What kind of setup would make sense since most audio cards only have one set of spdif inputs and a DAW like Cubase can only see one card at a time? The 400's internal routing ought to be able to work around this in stereo by summing the digital inputs and passing them through all four processors, either in parallel or serial, then outputting a single stereo pair, I suppose, but I wonder what Lexicon has in mind as a typical surround environment the mx400 would work in. Here is a place where the hybrid rack/VST plugin arrangement would probably benefit from digital audio as well as control data communication all being transmitted over firewire, I'd think. Any thoughts on the subject?
