Help Please - Problem with Zoom G3X Expression Pedal

Hi,
I just bought a Zoom G3X multi-effects, floor pedal a few days ago, and the built-in expression pedal now does not work to produce a wah sound when I have the appropriate wah patches loaded and on.

I have tried re-calibrating the pedal, as stated in the manual, and have got the 'OK' confirmation that that has been done, but still no 'wah' sound.

I do not want to do a factory reset, because I will lose all of the modifications/edits that I have made to the existing patches.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to re-engage the wah sound? By the way, the auto-wah patch works fine when I load it.

Page 18 of the manual says something about 'Auto Assign' for the expression pedal. Maybe it got set otherwise and doesn't know what to do when a wah patch is selected(?)

Does the Zoom 'Edit and Share' software allow you to save patches on your computer? If so, save the patches and do a factory reset.

Many thanks for your reply and suggestions.

I think that it is a good idea to save the patches, as you suggested, anticipating something like this happens again in the future.

Re-calibrating the expression pedal did not do any good or help in any way, so I did just do a factory reset.

This thing certainly has some eccentric ways of (mal)functioning, as I have seen people post about this problem before.
