Focusrite Saffire 40 vs MOTU 896HD

Hey guys i was wondering if someone can help me out of my prediciment. I am looking to buy a audio interface but i have heard some mixed reviews about all the ones i have been looking at.

I've been offered a used MOTU 896HD for the same price as a new Focusrite Saffire Pro 40. I don't see any major difference in the interfaces but i was wondering what you guys think i should go for and most importantly why.

If anyone could post up recordings done with either interface as my main concern is the sound quality.

any advice will be appreciated :)
