DMP3 vs digi pres

I finally jumped the gun and got myself a digi 003. Even though in my limited use, I think the 4 built in pres suits my need for now but I'm looking on adding more pres. What's the consensus on the DMP3 vs the built in pre? Is the DMP3 better or should I save up a bit for a better outboard pre?

I like the DMP3 for a clean pre, but I'd be surprised if it was much different/better than the Digi pres. I'd either save up for a colored preamp or maybe look into the Tweakhead or Black Lion upgrade. I paired my DMP3 with a Sebatron and have been pretty happy with that combo.
