Connecting RNC 1773 Compressor to NI Komplete audio 6 card

Hey yo,

I've owned my RNC 1773 compressor for a number of years now and still love it!
I recently just changed external soundcards from and M-Audio to a NI Komplete Audio 6.

My old setup was MIC > hardware mixer > RNC > M-Audio > PC via USB.

If I were to remove my Mixer, would I be able to do the following set up considering my new soundcard has pre-amp + MIC input.

MIC > Komplete Audio Soundcard > RNC... I'm guessing it'll have to be the other way right? (RNC doesn't have an input for MIC).

My aim is to eliminate my mixer as I'm sure adding more hardware will lower overall signal quality (and plus it's an old mixer).

Do you have any suggestions to complete my audio chain, would I have to buy a new pre-amp to upgrade quality.. I'm almost ready to turf my old mixer... it's pretty old now.

Thanks for your help.

I guess you could try this...

Get an extra pair of TRS cables. Connect your microphone/s to the mic inputs on the Komplete Audio. Connect Out 1 and 2 to the RNC inputs. Connect the outputs of the RNC to In 3 and 4 of the Komplete Audio. Capture the audio from input 3 and 4.

Might work???
