Here is my situation:

I've been searching a lot about hooking up Profire 2626 and Eleven Rack together and I finally found one. Check here http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0DRUGqfQ8o

Now, the problem is that the video is almost 4 years old and it has a different interface than mine. I followed how he connected the two with S/PDIF cables. But then, I came across this forum and it seems that It only needs 1 S/PDIF cable to make them work. Here's the link Profire2626 and Eleven Rack [Archive] - M-Audio Legacy User Forums

Which one is right? I have tried them both I followed how he set up the Eleven Rack on Protools. But I cant still get them to work because I don't know how to set it up on Protools 10 and 11. I managed to set the clock of the eleven rack external and the Profire internal.

In the video, if you do it right, you are supposed to get an input S/PDIF left-right and I don't see that happening in my Protools 10 and 11

you only need one cable. SPDIF is a digital transmission and transmits left and right (2 channels) on one cable.

Usually there is an SPDIF IN and OUT, this should not be confused with the RCA analog connectors that only transmit one channel of audio on each cable.

My Profire 2626 came with a breakout cable. It has 2 S/PDIF, the one is white color and red color is the other. I'm assuming the White one is the Input and Vice versa
