A few months ago, I asked people what they thought of all-in-one units - the ones that provide a preamp, EQ, compression and whatnot in one box. I was suspicious, and said so, but the thread didn't go far. Now, over at ProRec, the dashing and handsome Rip Rowan has written *five* reviews of different combi units, and overall, he's pretty positive about them. Plus he doesn't pull his punches as much as the recording magazines do. It was useful for me to see the different units compared. Maybe you too?
