The Avalon 2022 that I use at work has started behaving oddly.
On one channel, there seem to be random power spikes - the VU meter jumps around and clips and pegs, even when there's no mic running through it. The other channel seems fine.
This started happening intermittently on Mondays, after being down for the weekend, but would quickly resolve itself. Now it's almost continuous - what's happening?
Is this something that I can safely troubleshoot myself? If so, where do I start? If not, is this something that a qualified repair person can handle, or is this a job for Avalon?
