Another Pre-Amp Q

After doing bunch of research and reading a tons of posts, I have decided on getting the Joe Meek VC1Q...

Any thought or suggestions?
 
Ubik, the Meek gear is good. Buck's being waggishly enthusiastic. I've heard nothing but good reports about the Envoice, so check it out. My guess is you're not making a mistake either way.

I went last night to do a final comparison of the pre's... I thought the mindprint was great... It blew away everything else but the JM VC1Q. I thought the compression on the Joe Meek was the best and it sounded so smooth and warm... I went with the JM and got a pretty good deal on it as well...

I just got the vc6q and I love it too. I suspect that with the enthusiastic opinions that people have on this board about the joemeek, more people will get them who find homerecording. com bbs.

anyhow, if I ever need to get another pre, I think it will be the mindprint envoice cause I also like the way it sounds.
