I have a basic revording set up and am using a hifi amp and speakers to monitor everything.
It has connected a CD player, my PC, Turntable, tape deck, in fact anything i need to monitor.
Im going to replace it and am wondering whether to buy another hifi amp and speakers or a "proper" studio type amp.
What kind of connections do they have? Do i need a pre amp to connect everything to? i have a mixer - will this do?
It will be used for everything from monitoring a digital piano to a multitrack and the PC. Ant advice? thanks.
 
Theres a wide variety of products to choose from, you can also go active and not need to spend extra money on seperate amp and monitors. Some of these are very affordable. I recommend Yamaha products, but Im sure that others here have thier preferences.
