Alesis MEQ Buzzing

My MEQ 230 (or whatever it is) is now making a buzzing ound from one channel. Of sourse, that makes it totally useless to me.

I was wondering if anyone else had this happen and if you know how to fix it.

Could be anything... Make sure to check your connections (grounding!!!) and test it in a different setup. More then once I fixed a problem by just changing the cable.

If you're sure it is the EQ, try the response of the faders. This doesn't point anything out, open it up and look inside for a bad contact, loose wire, burnt component, that's what I do mostly. If that doesn't help you out, you'll need measuring tools.

I've already done all external testing, including swapping power supply wall warts. I think I'll toss it cause its not worth my time to screw with.

I agree...

...toss it!!! :)

No actually - keep it and use the good channel to tailor the signal sent to a reverb - strip off all bass to thin out the 'verb and bring out the articulation. Boost the bass a bit to thicken the 'verb and make it sit heavier in the mix.
