I mostly work in a recording/sequencing setting and never really did much live. Well I'm doing guitar/vocals in a wedding setting and I have some questions. Do you normally use a nice preamp for live use? For example I have an rnp and rnc. Would it be wise to use the rnp with my sm57 and 58 mics? Will it sound much better than going straight from the mixer into the active speakers?
Also, what are some typical compressor setting you would use on acoustic guitar and vocals live.
