Proper use of 2 pieces of equipment...

Hello all
Just curiuos.....i use a firepod as my interface, and i recently purchased 2 2channel 31 band eq's. Im curiuos to what the proper way to go about hooking these up to my firepod. i want to use the one eq for my snare and bass....so would i use the XLR out's to go directly into 1 of the 8 mic inputs on the front of the firedpod VS goin into the 2 inputs on the back of the firepod, the TRS inputs? thanx for the info
 
Can't do it, you could use one on the inserts on the back of the firepod, but that is it, unless you want to buy more pre amps, where it would hook up like this mic>pre amp>EQ>Firepod LINE in(not XLR mic in). Someone steered you wrong into thinking you could do this, and graphic eq's are not the first choice for recording situations anyways, take them back, and just use software eq's for now you will be better off.
