I want to run my scratching through a compressor with zero latency

No rep served up by me. Sorry if my post was inappropriate. I did not aim to ruffle feathers.

I think one reason why the RNC would be a good choice is that it is compact and light. This would be great for gigging, as the size and shape would make it easy to carry around in a gig bag or in a compartment or pocket with your other DJ gear.

If it were me I'd start with the RNC for this reason alone.

I also like the Aphex 651's a lot. A very underrated compressor, and not known as wellas others to home recordists.

Another relatively inexpensive unit (around $700 I think) is the DAV Electronics BG-6. http://www.davelectronics.com/bg6.htm

I have the bigger version of this, the BG-4, and it sounds very high quality. The BG-6 is the same but doesn't have the filters. While $700 is much more than the RNC, the DAV compressors sound a lot better than they cost.
