i finally figured out how to use some midi things .. and along with that i discovered how to use soft synths.. im very noob so far with the midi stuff .. but im learning, i use Acid as my sequencer. but anyways now im looking for some good tones.. i dont know if maybe i should learn how to alter the synths i already have or if there is some downloadable softsynths or instruments that i can get..

but im looking for a nice rock organ sound, im talking like deep purple, or for example like styx blue collared man intro ya know ... that sound.

are there any soft synths that are free and sound good that you guys know about...

thank you

wow thats a pretty cool site.. havent found anything too good though. most downloads take you to a removed site.

thanks for the reply - good site

See if you can use a Soundfont player with your software. Lot's of free and cheap sounds on the net. Here are a few sites of free and cheap stuff I kept in a favorites folder. I don't know how good the sites are anymore. I got many of the links from other people here. Good luck.
