Midi Not working!

Hi. Lately I have been trying to setup and record midi. I had it working a few weeks ago but now its not exactly working. I'm using a yamaha synthesiser keyboard which is connected to my pc via usb.

The computer said 'found new hardware'. I clicked it and it started to automatically find the correct drivers. A message then popped up saying it can't find or install the correct drivers, so I had to end it.

I looked on yamaha's website and downloaded the correct software but still, it doesn't work. Please if somebody can help i will be very grateful

I only know Apple... on a Mac I would want to go into the Audio MIDI Setup and see if all is happy there.

Also I don't know if Yamaha has any customer help phone numbers.
