XLR DAP Audio Xcaliber connector

Hello,

I'm trying to disassemble the XLR DAP Audio Xcaliber connector with no success. After I unscrew the one only screw holding the front round "metal" piece I still can't put it apart.. Does anybody have experience with these connectors please ?

I'm not sure of that specific connector, but from the picture, it looks like they probably have an o-ring seal inside the connector. It may just take some strength to break the seal and it should come apart.

Disclaimer: If I'm wrong, I'm not replacing it !! :)
 
Hi Washburn100, thanks, that would make sense... But then, do you mean pulling the two parts that seem to be separated off? or like twisting them? the thing is that the front round part of the connector has a hole from the top, where the "secure pin" is located. both pulling and twisting is blocked by this pin...I can't seem to be able to push him down deep enough so that the the two parts come loose!
is this normal? do I miss anything?
