Yes I've worked in studios where this was a favored vocal mic. I know that Richard Monroe (on this board) has one and uses it frequently. It's an excellent cardioid dynamic mic that is used a lot in broadcasting because it seems to buffer out a lot of the ambient noise and still gives a real good clear uncolored signal.
Here in the States they sell just about everywhere for $350 US dollars. I know that most of the on-line dealers have them and I believe some of them ship overseas. Try Guitar Center,Musician's Friend, B&H audio, 8th Street, zZounds and Sweetwater, etc..

Go to a known dealer - DV247 are normally about the cheapest in the UK.

if they make fake sm57s (and yes, they do, quite well too - in that they look and feel similar, and actually don't sound too bad, but definitely not the same nor as good).... so yea they I'm sure they make fake sm7s which are really similar mics to sm57s.
