I have a Blue Kiwi, a Focusrite ISA One, and an Mbox 2, it never did that until a week ago ,what is the solution?

Turn down the input gain on whatever it's plugged into.

One stunt I heard that David Bowie's engineer did was to have one mic close for the soft vocals and one quite a distance away for the screams.

In order

Make sure there's a good pop filter in place.

Turn down the gain to avoid clipping.

Use (or have the singer use) better mic technique to decrease dynamic range.

Volume automate the track to further smooth the levels

Use makeup gain, and/or a compressor.


In my experience, working backwards will suck.
