Type of mic for guitar amp?

I currently have a few SM57's that I've been using for just about everything. I still am not getting the sound I want from the 57's. Does anybody know what type of condensor mic would sound good micing a Crate amp and that would be a good general purpose mic?

Welp, Rec Eng dances around and praises the Oktava MC012 as being the best in that price range. He's convinced me to buy it...check it out. URL anyone?

If you're looking for another mic other than the 57, and it's mainly going to be a guitar amp mic, then I'd look at the MXL 2001 or such. Maybe even an Oktava MC319 from The Sound Room.

However. If it's going to be more of a general purpose mic, then I do say the Oktava MC012 from The Sound Room only. www.oktava.com
