Too much gain on the Blue Yeti?

Bought a Blue Yeti USB mic for my 2nd studio. The recording input is turned damn near all the way down and so is the recording input in my DAW (1% in fact). I cant figure out why it picks up so loud. Its making all the vocal tracks out of my 2nd studio sound slightly distorted compared to my Samson GTrack which picks up low, but with normalization and stuff always comes out PERFECT with no distortion. Anyone got any answers lol????? Thanks
 
usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 will give the mic more power than a usb 1.0 port. make sure in your windows volume control for the mic its 1 im pretty sure thats what you meant you did already. your computer probably shouldnt be giving the mic that much gain lol
 
It's broken. Exchange it.

I see the OP is banned, so this is really for anyone else who wanders by with the same problem and wonders if that's how the Yeti is supposed to work. It's not.
