There's been a lot of RadioShack talk...

for the past 6 months, as i learned a ton more about recording, and had little to no money....i've been recording straight to my hard-disk, through a soundblaster card, using a Radio Shack "Stereo Hands-Free Tie Clip Electronic Mic" (the one with that comes with 2 mics and windscreens...for 30 bucks) ( http://www.radioshack.com/product.a..._name=CTLG_002_003_005_000&product_id=33-3028 ). Yes, now i am slowly getting a lot of better stuff, but thats not the point of this, ha.

My recodrings sounded pretty good i'd say, especially for being done in my basement. I was just wondering what other people thought about it, i mean - a 30 dollar mic kept me going strong for a longgggg time. what are the specs for this mic, anyone know? ha.

just thought i'd mention that.

some stuff that was done with that mic is at: www.mp3.com/quad_5_crew and www.mp3.com/quad_5_trio.

and even before i had the double mic (i had the same mic, but the one for 20 bucks that comes with only 1 mic).... www.mp3.com/the_pickpockets.

and part of the bad sounds in those is because of bad mixing on my part.

Specs won't tell you much............ it's pretty much a given that even an MXL2001 will outperform RS mics (and that isn't saying much.......)
