    May or may not be wired like the link below. This is typical of how a communications mic might be wired to key a transmitter. Try pins 1 and 2 for audio and change the position of the switch if it doesn't work.

    even some EV mics originally used connectors like that ...... the mere fact that it's a 4 pin connector doesn't automatically mean it's a POS.
    If you know the secret codes you can get by the mastering boss on level 8.
