Hi y'all.
I don't hear too many mixed & home recorded vocal demos of the excellent Shure SM7b on the YouTubes, so I wanted to see if I could get close to the Chris Martin sound with my SM7b.
Please let me know your thoughts, I would love feedback, but I'm happy with the recording quality.
RECORDING CHAIN:
-My (wobbly) voice
-Shure SM7b held in hands, close to mouth, in an untreated, wooden floored room
-Ross Giles VMP-1 Single Channel Tube Mic Pre
-Ross Martin PCM4222 ADC
-Reaper
-Many free (Bootsy/VOS) VST Plugins and a few Waves/Lexicon VST's also
Cheers,
Josh.
