Just went to the store and bought KSM 44 ..649.00.. Oh the pain LOL!Tried At 4050,TLM103.and got the 44 it was more open sounding{just the check 123 thing} to me...TLM 103 was nice just a little brite..AT4050 was also cool but a little veiled..I listed to the mics thru a Mackie VLZ..Now the preamp hunt is on!Grace 101 is next..Does it ever stop ? LOL

Good choice.....that's the mic I would like to have. I'm hoping the KSM27 has the same characteristics. I'll wait for the reviews I guess. I want a LD condenser that sounds less-hyped than some of the others.

I would buy the KSM 44 but I just bought a really expensive guitar and I can't justify the purchase. That mic through the Grace will be an awesome combo.
