Should i get these mics

I found a couple Studio Projects C4's on craigslist for half price and it great condition, shock mount, case, the whole deal.

I heard large diaphragm mics are "better" for vocals, which is what they would be used for, but i was thinking this might not be a deal to pass up.

What do you think?
 
I don't have any of these mics but Studio Projects gear usually get good reviews. I love the VTB-1 preamps, I have 3. If the price is right I am always of the opinion that you can never have too many mics. In the early days of my recording life I only had a couple of small condensers and we used them for vocals, the vocals we recorded sound fine when I listen today. Yes it's true that a LDC is usually better for vocals but have a couple of SDC's for recording other things like guitar, or even a stereo pair for overheads or recording a live gig is very handy.
