Sennheiser md441 repair question

Hi all,
I recently scored a used 441 and i very foolishly managed to break a wire on the inside (the red one--pin 2 i believe) while trying to get the brilliance switch in the right place (i had been pushed in).
The brilliance switch is in the right spot now, but to properly re-solder the red wire it would be great to have better access to the mic's guts.
Does anyone know how to fully dissemble mic's casing?
Also, anyone think it's utterly foolhardy for a novice to attempt this repair? Should I just bite the bullet and send it to sennheiser (it's well out of warranty)?
Thanks

Search the GS board. I seem to recollect someone asking this question over there some time ago.

Thanks, you pointed me in the right direction.
For posterity's sake and if anyone here is curious:
MD411 disassembly in 3 easy steps
step 1: remove the plastic covering on the eq switch on the bottom of the mic (careful it's easy to break)
step 2: remove the screw
step 3: slide the top panel of the mic forward a bit (ie away from the xlr connectors & towards the business end of the mic)--then it comes right off.
