Hello !

We plan in my music association to buy a Beta 98 H/C that we've already tested recently on a concert. But I saw these two links on thomann :

Wired one : Shure Beta 98 H/C - Thomann France

Wireless without transmitter : Shure WB98 H/C - Thomann France

Wireless one is 53€ less, and there's 3 pins on the plug of the wired mic, that's normal, and 4 on the plug of the wireless.

So I was wondering, is the the fourth pins essential for the good workind of the mic if we use it as a wired one. I mean can we buy a wireless mic and a 3 pins plug (Neutrik NC3 FXX-B - Thomann France) to replace the 4 pins plug of the mic ?
Of course there will always be a not weld cable because the pin less. There is the point, does this cable have a utility for the transmission of the signal so we can't do that, or is it just useful for the transmitter, so we can ignore is and put a 3 pins plug ?

We also want to do that in order to replace it again to use it wireless later (in a few years) when we'll get money haha

Ty !
