I raided my dad's studio today. Hmmmmm..
Neumann km84i
Sennheiser (no name but a kidney on it!)
AKG d224e (3 frickin overlapping kidneys!)
Shure 545s Unidyne III dynamic
2 E V 664's Dynamic Cardoid.
Anybody have any experience with these mics as to what they may be good for?
Anybody know of a vintage Mic place that could tell me?

Had a Shure PE545s a long time and many lives ago. I believe it's a Hi-Z cardioid dynamic mic. Could be OK on snare or hi-hat. I think I paid $50-60 in 1972.

The Neuman is prolly worth a ton of money. It's a small diaphragm condenser first made in the mid 60's according to the Neumann site. See: http://www.neumann.com/history/h12.htm for info.
Check the manufacturer's websites for accurate info, and specs.

I think they all have the domain names you'd expect, I know shure and neumann do.

These mics you speak of are totally worthless... Not worth the cables they plug into...
Email me and I will send you my address... You can mail them to me and I will send you a few bucks for your troubles...
Just trying to help a brother out...

Wasn't I the guy who said "hail S8N" during that big 'censorship' thing?
And now, the devil wants my daddy's mic's...
OK! Just post ur address and I'll send em right over.......
The Neumann site did give me some info about that mic... THANKS!
And umm... 50 or 60$ in 72?
Isnt that like 300$ today?
