Neumann M147 on kick

I've seen a few pictures of miked up sets in the studio with what looks like an m147 on the kick. The studio I intern at has one, and I was thinking of using it on the front head of the kick, with a D112 inside the kick. I was wondering if you guys have an suggestions/techniques for this mic?

Many engineers use an U47 fet in front of the kick, but there was a thread on Klaus Heyne's board at PSW and Klaus has doubts. He thinks it will damage the capsule in time and I do agree.

We use a M147 at the studio I work at and it sounds awesome on the kick. Usually we set the M147 out front about 8 inches up and 2 feet out front with a ATM25 inside the kick. The combo gives a very big, solid sound. If I could afford one for my home studio, I would buy it in a heart beat.
