Hello,

1. I've got a problem.. Recently I've bought this mic Novox nc-1:

I''ve been using it with a plastic bucket on my desk, so.. it wasn't an ideal setup.

But today I received my microphone arm and.. I can't really mount my mic to it. And to make everithing worse I even broke one part!

2.Similar to this one:

The part that I broke came with the mic and you actually screw it into the microphone. (the "funnely" part is threaded and the mic goes into it.)
(I broke this: http://puu.sh/pHDkQ/b89ec75fea.jpg)

3.The entire mic arm (Renkforce AD-20) looks like this:

4.And with the mic arm I received this:

(It's not the same, but pretty similar)

The mic has a 21mm male thread - here: http://puu.sh/pHDq6/288594ac5d.jpg
The mic arm has a 9mm male thread - here: http://puu.sh/pHDqw/d43cca89c2.jpg

So thought of something like this, but female to female:

Does anyone have any idea on how can I mount the mic to the arm? Or where can I buy a thread reducer that goes 21mm female to 9mm female?

Thanks in advance and really looking forward for your suggestions. :)

It's cool, but as I can see their threads are 5/8" (16cm) and the mic arm is 3/8" (9mm).
Why does that mic arm have such a unusual thread?

It'll come with its own adapter. Mike stands have two 'standards', 5/8 and 3/8. Microphone cups most often come as 5/8 with 3/8 adapter included

5/8" thread is US standard, 3/8" is euro standard and seen with a lot of camera equipment. You'll need another one of the hard mounts or a shock-mount as Gecko mentioned. The thread other than the one the mic slips into will either be 5/8" female (you'll need an adapter small chrome piece comes in almost every mic clip) or will already be 3/8". Good luck, if you use a shock-mount be careful the mic does not come loose in use and fall out.
