MXL M3.... Anyone have one of these or have used it? Does it sound like a tube mic?

Hi Folks... I have the chance to pick up one of these MXL M3 mics for about $80.

Anyone got one and can give me a sense of what to expect....
They seem pretty rare and originally they were advertised as having a sound like a tube mic.

Did they achieve the goal of making an SS mic sound like a tube mic?

I already own a Sputnik, so I'm wondering what the M3 might add to the scheme of things.

Any info gratefully received.

Hi Mark.... Thanks for that .... I hadn't found those post on GS despite doing a couple of searches.

Thanks for the advice regarding the price but I took the plunge and it's on its way.
