the mxl desktop recording kit?

im gonna get an ibook soon along with a m-audio fast track interface and the mxl desktop kit looked like a great deal considering ill be traveling constantly.

im just curious if anyones had any luck or has tried it at all?

and if no good, any other reccomendations to record like acoustic to vocals to electric guitar?
the fast track doesnt have phantom power, so a dynamic mic would be the best bet.
