Midiman audio buddy

If this is the same as an M-Audio Audio Buddy (isn't midiman an earlier version of m-audio?), I'd say $85 at Kraft Music is too high. I throw one in a bag when I go to gigs in case the mixer is short a couple of preamps. If you just need a phantom power unit, I would not get something with a preamp in the signal chain. I purchased a four channel Peavey phantom power unit a few years back for $50 brand new.

I bought an M Audio Audio buddy for $50 a couple weeks ago from GC. It's definitely nowhere near it's bigger brother, the DMP3, but it's a nice solid little unit that gets the job done. I have 2 phantom power inputs on my soundcard, 2 from a DMP3, and I needed 2 more, so I got the Audio Buddy. Overall, it does better than I expected it to.

Yeah, Midiman created M-Audio for their non-MIDI gear and changed the Audio Buddy to the new brand way back when. If it has the old brand then it's an old unit.
