Microphonus Obscurus - the one mic to rule them all...

I've been digging the web for about five days now and haven't found anything on this mic, including several forums and an email to Audio-Technica's tech team in the US. Nothing. Nada. Sszzziillltch.

Anyone here able to identify what make and model I have on my hands???

Have you disassembled it yet to see if there are any markings or info inside?
Looks like an old Electro-Voice of some sort.
