Mic Recommendation

I need some recommendations on a mic for live venues.....Cheapest ones that you would recommend....Brand and model.....(for vocals).

PS. yeah I know about BUY IT WRONG AND BUY IT TWICE....Thats why I'm asking for you experienced people to recommend.

The Sennheiser Evolution series. Particularly in venues with less than ideal PA horns and/or acoustics, they have the extra top end that's missing from an SM58. I have an E835 and five E845s. Love 'em.
 
I would definately reccomend reccomend a Shure sm58 (or even a beta 58). It's durable, reliable and still sounds good. The most flexible of the common live vocal mics out there. There certainly may be some that are nicer, but none cheaper and more durable. There is a reason that it is the most commonly requested and toured vocal mic on riders.
