Mics currently

SE2200-II-MP
Superlux R102
Shure SM58 (got 2 but one is in poor condition)
Sony Stereo Condenser (don't know the model off hand - takes a battery and has mini-jack lead)
M-Audio Producer USB (used with iPad but currently in use with my sons game-capture setup)

Previously (feels like a lifetime ago) owned:
Oktava 219
AKG C1000 (a matched pair - I liked them)

Also used:
Rode M3 (reckon these are the best cheap mics around!)
Rode NT1a
Rode NT2 (good mic this!)

I somehow managed to accumulate 40 mics (I'm a gear slut) - some of these I use for my live drum and/or percussion rigs:

Condenser Mics:

AKC C3000
MLX R144
MXL V67B (2)
Octava MC012 (2)
Cad M179

Blue Ball
Blue Kick Ball
CAD TSM411 (2)
CAD NDM 10 (2)
CAD NDM 11
Radio Shack RS33-3032 (3) - Don't laugh, they're good mics

How do you find these?
Keep seeing them very cheaply here in the UK...

I got mine from Sweetwater Music in Indiana. The first pair I got, one of the mics had some noise coming from it. I sent them back and before I knew it they sent me a brand new pair. I haven't used them extensively yet. I got them for a new project coming up. I'll be able to tell you more about them after we track some guitar.

Wow, the old thread is still running. Ok, update:

The "Happy Family" as of 8/5/15:

1 Neumann 147
2 Neumann KMS-184
1 Neumann USM-69
2 AKG C414 XLS (just arrived yesterday)
2 Marshall V67
2 Cascade Fathead II Ribbons
1 Shure 55 (with DuKane badge)
1 Shure 57
1 Shure 58
Plus a collection of small plastic mics from cheap tape decks and two Astatic 1940es-style chrome announcer mics,

C.

Now down to just one mic (sold a load of gear to buy more gear), the SE2200 MKII.

Wish I still had a dynamic - so looking at the Rode Procaster.

I can't remember if I ever posted my list back in the day but wow, yeah... I've got a whole different slew of mics now...
Shure SM57
Shure SM7b
Audix i5 x 2
Se X1R ribbon
Avantone CR14 ribbon
AKG C3000 x 2 (1 is up for sale)
Audix f5 x 2 (up for sale)
Audix f15 x 2 (up for sale)
Behringer C-2 m/p
EV Re20
Golden Age FC4 m/p
Golden Age FC2 m/p
Heil PR-31bw
Heil PR-30B
Heil PR-40
MXL 4000 (up for sale)
MXL V250 (up for sale)
MXL 910 (up for sale)
MXL R40 ribbon
MXL 603s (up for sale)
Nady RSM-2 ribbon
Rode NT2a
Rode NT1a
Rode M5 m/p
Se 2200aII
Se 4400a
Senn MD421 (x2)
Senn e609
Senn e906

The behringer set and the nady ribbon are the mics it seems I've had for forever, the rest were all got within the last 3-4 years. All of the MXL mics, except the R40, are still sitting in their boxes brand new - got sucked in with the low prices on SDotD or other clearance sales completely forgetting that I have other mics that do the job just fine...

1) Shure SM 57
2) Shure SM 58
3) Audix i5
4) Sennheiser e 609
5) Mxl v69

My mic collection is pretty basic as I mostly record electric guitar and vocals. I am in the process of moving my gear to another room and plan on recording acoustic guitar with the Mxl v69. We'll see how it works out :)

2- Neumann TLM 102's

1- Shure SM7b

1- Shure 57 beta

1- Marshal MXL V-96 ME

2- Marshal 603s's

1- Blue Baby Bottle

1- AT 2020

1- Superlux CM-H8A

1- Neutrik NC*MX

1- Shure BG10

edit: I just purchased an AKG C-1000 off of ebay. I had one a few years ago and really liked it, but sold it. I always regretted selling that mic, I found a used one in mint condition and decided I wanted it. I used my old one on vocals and guitar and it did a fine job way back when.

I'm only just starting my mic collection, so don't laugh....

A Thomann branded kick mic - can't remember the exact name but this was my first mic, I love the thing!
Samson 7kit drum mic set
SE 2200a
SE1A matched stereo pair
Shure SM57
Audio Technica ATM710
and finally a 3 pack of behringer mics, bought for backing vocal duties in my band but actually sound pretty good.

This all started because we wanted to record a demo disc to help us get some gigs. The irony is that we've been so busy gigging we haven't had time to record anything yet lol. Although I have recorded a couple of live shows and get some half decent results, just little bits for a promo vid on the facebook page, but I've got a serious bug now!

oooh i'll play!

rode ntk - very nice
modded apex 460 pair - nicer than the rode
AT 4040 pair - decenet
AT 4033a - also decent
AT 2020 pair - rarely used anymore
m-audio luna - total crap
behringer b-5 pair - i'm embarrassed about that, anyone notice they changed their slogan from "just listen"? i guess people listened....
shure beta52a - great large diaphragm dynamic mic
shure beta58 - a bit bright but a workhorse!
shure 58 - catches farts and other bodily noises pretty well....

so yeah, anyone wanna buy my m-audio luna and b-5's? they're the best mics in the world! ;)
