Joe Meek VC 3 vs. Art Tube MP

I am looking to get a lower budget preamp for one of my mics and two came across my path. Those were the Joe Meek VC3 and Art Tube MP. Out of those two, which one would anyone recomend getting?
 
I've the ART Tube MP and the Hootersound B1 (which is essentially the same pre-amp as the V3, I think). Comparing the sound, I would say that the Hootersound is far superior than the ART unit. Much, much sweeter and cleaner. I hate to admit that I don't like the sound very much since so many people like the ART TUBE MP. The TUBE MP is warm though if that's what you are looking for.
 
Just so you know, hootersound specs are WAY different than joe meek. The art is a little cleaner than an average console preamp but you can get tube sound which is always cool, but the cleanest and most veratile would be the joe meek.
