I've got some shakers so maybe I'll try it both ways and see what I can see.
 
I looked at the mic list before I realized the web domain name. I was thinking "are they sponsored by Shure or something?". Well, as it turns out...

That is a cool, detailed account of their process. It's always good to see someone go into that level of detail, I don't see enough of that.

Did I miss the link to the finished song? Gotta wonder if it sounded great, or like someone beating a bag of cats to death with a broken guitar.
 
And I'd never thought about taping mics together like they did with the SM7 and the KSM141 combo for the vocals.
Pretty cool idea.
