How would you use this mic collection?

I've been collecting mics for a few years . . . .

I'm wondering if anyone might have something to say about sucessful
ways they've used any of the mics in this list - I am just finishing my
studio space here & haven't been able to put many of them to use yet
& I'd like to hear how others have used any of these:

Yes! ebay is a factor - I know it's a long list, I sell as many as I buy though
& am waiting to put them all to use & see which I'll hang on to & which I'll be selling. But beside all that . . . .

What would Santa Claus do?

You could send three or four mics as gifts to each of the next ten people who reply on this thread. Then I'm sure we could tell you all about the different ways to successfully use these mics....

I'd suggest hanging on to everything and see what gets used. But, since you asked...

Oktava ML-52A-02 Bidirectional Ribbon -- I'd use for guitar amps. I've not used one. You might try it on drum overheads.

Earthworks SR69 Small Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser -- Try it on acoustic guitar.

Oktava MC012 Small Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser -- Drum overheads, acoustic guitar.

Beyerdynamic MPC23 Omni PZM Condensers (PAIR) -- Try one as a room mic. Strap one to the drummer's chest and see what happens.

Rode NT5 Small Diaphragm Cardioid Condensers (PAIR) -- Drum overheads, acoustic guitar.

Marshall MXL V69 Large Diaphragm (GT Tube) Cardioid Condensers (PAIR) -- Vocals.

Oktava MK-319 Large Diaphragm Cardioid Condensers (PAIR) -- A fairly neutral mic that could record most anything.

Shure SM57 Cardioid Dynamics (PAIR) -- Guitar amps, snare drum.
