I'm getting a great deal here in India. I'm getting the at2035 cheaper than the at2020. What is the the difference between theme.

And one more great deal that the perception 120 with k44 headphones is cheaper than the normal perception 120. Which should I go for?

The 2035 is basically a 2020 but with a low shelf and pad switch, if the 2035 is cheaper get that over a 2020.

2035 also has less noise/hiss. Electronics have been upgraded inside to reduce noise/

If I had to choose between the two - it would be the AT 2035. But that's just me.

Any mic you buy will be perfectly suited to your needs, until you use it long enough to learn that it's not.

Your first mic likely won't be your last and you won't know what you want/need until you try one to see if it works for you. What works well for someone else and they recommend may not work well for you. You need to start somewhere and the AT2035 is probably not a bad choice for a condenser to start your "collection" of mics. I do have an AT2020 that sounds fairly good on my voice, but I have purchased other mics also which add some variation to my recordings. Some sound better on some things than others.

Low shelf - rolls off the low end at a designated frequency READ HERE. The pad - will attenuate the signal READ HERE.
