Hoping someone can take a look at my future setup, tell me if it will work?

Hello everyone! Hope you all are well.

I was hoping someone would be able to confirm if my set up will work, or if I will need any additional items or make changes to what I'll be purchasing. I believe I have it all, but me still being fairly new to this, I'd like to be sure I'm not in for any unpleasant surprises haha.

I'm using a laptop running windows 7 and will be using audacity.

All good except for USB to XLR cable. You don't need this.

You go AT202 via XLR to XLR to Scarlett. The from Scarlett to PC with a standard USB cable

Ah! Well I'm glad I posted here than. Thanks for letting me know, I would have been frustrated to get that and find I didn't need it. I thought I had everything right, just needed some confirmation in case I was missing something obvious.

Appreciate it!

You're going to want a decent pair of headphones.

These are OK, middle of the road. The M50x is a little better, and you can shop around for other brands - to each their own.
But for what you have starting out, they fit the package until you figure out what you're doing and are ready to upgrade.
I wouldn't use earbuds (at least not any that are meant for use with a phone or mp3 player), and BEATS are not built for audio recording/engineering.

Best of luck!

Hills Brothers Coffee, Mr. Coffee, and pleasure cup. Stevie Nicks poster. Lava lamp. A moist breath filter between singer and MIC, etc..

An inexpensive mic stand.

If you get a really inexpensive mic stand, or any for that matter, get a small 5 lb sand bag (DIY). They get tipsy when you put a condenser on top of them, especially with the supplied shock mounts.

Wouldn't want it to tip over and spill your coffee. ;)
