Electro-Voice PL33 kick mic, 99 euro's new, any reviews?

So, I'm in the market for a kick mic to make my first drum recordings. It's just for a simple demo of my band and hopefully more in the future. I was looking at the ND868 by Electro-Voice first, which gets excellent reviews but is pretty expensive for a beginner at 198 euro's. I also don't want to buy the really cheap stuff because I feel like I would be wasting money. Then I found the PL33, which is priced nicely within the range that I'd want to spend (it's 99 euro's new, so half the price of the ND868) and it's from Electro-Voice, which is a respected company. That made me really interested.

Sadly though, I cannot find much information like user reviews about this model. Does anybody have some recording experience with this microphone or otherwise know how it compares the ND868 or other famous kick mics? Thanks!
