Closest thing to a Shure SM54

Hi, i noticed that on lots of 70's live performances i hear, the Shure SM54 is being used, and i like its sound very much. maybe its just the fact that its music from the 70's that is effecting my judgment, but i think its really a good mic.

what do you think is the closest thing in tonality to the SM54 today. getting a real vintage one is hard and risky, so i prefer a similar modern mic.

There was also the SM53.

With the bass roll off on these microphones I would dare to venture to say that the modern equivalent would be a SM7b or EV RE20.

No roll off switch! but for $50. it would be worth finding out.
Even if it turned out to be not so good I m sure you could sell it again for your money back.
