maybe this is of any interest: I have put up two recordings of brass quartett done partly with the beyer m500 ribbon. They can be found on www.besonic.com/liquidjazz and are called "freuet euch ihr christen alle" and "brich an oh schönes morgenlicht". I checked with different mic oplacements, no eq was done on the top voices, only cut some "boom" frequencies "on the low trombone. Please notice that this was done in multitracking as I played all the instruments myself.
they're only around 1mb, quality is a bit low (only 128kb)but ithink sufficent to judge the difference between the pieces.
So: which one do you like better?
